About Me

Val Kay: I started fairgreenplanet when I was doing my PhD research and have continued using it occasionally now that I’ve retired from my former job at Monash Uni and am working voluntarily in climate and environmental activism. My profile pic was taken in France where you don’t have to wear a bike helmet (and my hire bike didn’t provide one) but I do wear one in my home country of Australia. It’s just a nice memory of a special time, though I try not to fly any more so such trips are just a memory. One day perhaps flying will be ok again, but for now, better not for the climate. I’m also on Bluesky (left twitter some time ago - get off it people)
